　　报告简介：

        The talk gives an overview of the research work conducted within my research group at the University of Calgary. The central theme is on the multiscale modelling of geomaterials with engineering applications in the energy resource extraction sector. Geomaterials are random heterogeneous particulate systems that are multiphasic in nature and modelling approaches invoking the microscopic level are necessary. The talk will touch upon challenges such as the process of failure in geomaterials, stress transport in unsaturated granular materials and clays, among others.

　　加拿大Calgary（卡尔加里）大学土木工程系教授，多个国际期刊编辑委员会成员，国际土力学与岩土工程学会(ISSMGE) 专委会TC103 (Numerical Methods)的副主席，加拿大岩土技术学会成员，APEGGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geophysicists of Alberta)专业工程师，获Alberta大学岩土力学博士学位。曾历任Ottawa大学、Alberta大学研究助理，加拿大自然资源矿业研究实验室研究科学家，Calgary大学助理教授。在岩土力学领域有着多年的丰富经验，尤其擅长于连续介质力学、微观力学、实验力学、岩土力学、工程材料的本构关系以及复杂岩土结构的数值模拟等。研究内容涵盖了岩土力学和计算力学等领域，比如资源开采和高寒地区工程等。
